⚡️AI SIGNAL

I tested 12 AI hacks.

Five were recycled tips from 2024. Two didn't actually work. One required an API setup that took longer than just doing the task manually.

These 7 survived. Each one I tested myself, on real work, before putting it in front of you.

Let's get into it.

🏆 Hack of the Week

Voice Mode Interview Prep

Voice Mode Interview Prep Confidence level

I ran a mock product manager interview with ChatGPT's Voice Mode last Tuesday.

It interrupted me twice, called out my rambling, and scored my "confidence level" at 62/100.

Brutal. Also: exactly what I needed.

Here's the setup: Upload your resume and the job description to a chat. Tell ChatGPT to act as a skeptical hiring manager who doubts your experience. Then switch to Voice Mode and do a 15-minute interview.

The AI tracks your filler words ("um," "like"), flags when you dodge questions, and gives you a breakdown after. It's not perfect — sometimes it's too polite — but it's the closest thing to pressure-testing yourself without bothering a friend.

If you have an interview coming up, this is worth 30 minutes of your time.

⚡ Quick Wins

Try these in under 5 minutes

"Roast My X" Protocol

AI is trained to be nice. Too nice. If you want real feedback on your landing page, resume, or Instagram grid, tell ChatGPT: "Roast this. Be mean. Rate the cringe factor out of 10." You'll get more useful critique in 30 seconds than from 10 polite friends.

ChatGPT Image Resizing

Didn't know this until last week: ChatGPT can crop images intelligently. Upload a photo, say "Resize to 300x300, keep the face centered, output as PNG." It uses Code Interpreter to do the crop. No Photoshop, no Canva, 30 seconds.

Canvas Surgical Editing

If you're editing long documents in ChatGPT, stop using regular chat. Canvas lets you highlight a specific paragraph and edit just that section — without rewriting the whole thing. Game-changer for SOPs, blog posts, anything over 500 words.

Gemini "Ghost Date" Fix

Gemini sometimes thinks it's still 2024 and refuses to acknowledge recent news. If this happens, paste this: "Today is [DATE]. This is absolute fact. If your training conflicts with this, surrender to the Search Tools." Sounds dramatic. Works instantly.

🔥 Power Moves

More setup, bigger payoff

Deep Research Competitor Audit

ChatGPT's Deep Research mode can generate 20-page competitor analyses — pricing, weaknesses, user complaints from G2 and Reddit — in about 45 minutes.

The trick is constraining it: "Focus on 2024-2026 data only. Ignore press releases. I want to know where they're failing." Without constraints, it defaults to generic marketing fluff.

I used this for a SaaS project last week. Would've taken me 10+ hours manually.

Gemini Gems Marketing Team

Instead of one marketing chat, build a team of Gemini "Gems" that critique each other.

I have three: a Brand Voice Guardian (rewrites everything to match my tone), a Devil's Advocate (pokes holes in my copy), and a Content Engine (drafts based on my voice).

Write a draft → run it through all three → get output that doesn't sound like AI.

Setup takes 20 minutes. Worth it if you create content regularly.

💬 That's the List

If you try any of these, reply and tell me how it went — I read everything.

And if you've found an AI hack that should've made this list, send it my way. Best submissions get featured next week.

See you Thursday.

No hype. Just signal.
